Orders and shipping

UK orders and shipping

We ship to mainland England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Isle of White.

The Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man fall under our EU international shipping terms and fees which you can find further below.

Orders placed via our website from Monday to Friday will be processed and shipped usually the same day if ordered before 3pm, otherwise the next working day. Orders placed after 3pm from Monday to Friday or on weekends and bank holidays will be processed the next business working day.

We offer a standard 2-4 day UK delivery option and an express 1-2 day option via Royal Mail. We also offer a next day/24 hr courier option via DPD for orders placed before 3pm. All options are available to select during the checkout process. Delivery time frames are based on Monday to Saturday delivery for Royal Mail and Monday to Friday for DPD. 

Delivery fees are charged on all purchases less than £40 with free standard UK delivery offered on all orders £40 and above going to UK delivery addresses. Additional free delivery may be offered during promotional periods or with promotional codes. You may choose to select express or next day UK delivery instead, but this will incur a full UK delivery fee. 

Once your order has been placed via our website you will receive a confirmation email from us and then a separate email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.

Once your order has been passed to our shipping carrier/s we are not able to take responsible for delivery delays or if a package is not able to be delivered to you due to address errors or if you are not at the address to receive it. So please keep an eye on the tracking information you will receive from us via email.

We do not ship to business forwarding addresses or PO Boxes and will automatically cancel such orders.

European international shipping

Brexit has unfortunately resulted in changes and additional fees for European shipping from the UK and it is really important you understand what the process and costs will be before placing an order. Shipping will be via Royal Mail and will then pass to your local postal carrier.

European countries we ship to: Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway.

Shipping will be via Royal Mail. While it is likely to take between 7-10 days for your order to arrive, please allow up to three weeks for your order to arrive after shipping given additional customs duties will now need to be charged and paid for by you on UK deliveries to European countries. Local custom authorities (and shipping carriers) do have the right to hold items, which can delay delivery and we are unable to do anything about this.

Once your order leaves mainland UK via our shipping carrier and passes to the European carrier or country customs authority you will be contacted for payment of customs and import duties.  Payment is your responsibility – we do not pay for anything to be released from a shipping carrier or customs to you.

Your package will not be released or delivered to you until you complete payment of any requested duties.  Customs duties vary from country to country so we are unfortunately unable to advise on what they may be. 

If you choose not to pay the requested duties on import, the package will be returned to us. In this case, once the package is received by us and checked to ensure it has not been opened or tampered with, we can issue you a refund less any shipping already paid by you and less the import handling fees charged to us for its entry back into the UK.

Please consider that your purchase online with us and shipping fees do not include possible taxes or duties which may be applied by customs authorities or shipping carriers on delivery into your country – nor for the additional fees to ship your order back to us if you choose to reject receipt of it. The payment and knowledge of taxes and duties that may apply to your purchase are your responsibility and we do not reimburse customs or duties costs. 

For more information on what duties and taxes may be payable by you prior to the delivery of your parcel, we strongly recommend checking your local customs website or contacting them directly prior to placing your order. 

Rest of world international shipping

Delivery timeframes vary depending on the country so please allow for between 1- 3 weeks for your order to arrive after shipping. Shipping will be via Royal Mail or DPD.

Your country may charge you customs and import duties on packages entering your country from the UK. If this is the case for your country, once your order leaves mainland UK via our shipping carrier and passes to your country customs authority you will be contacted for payment of customs or import duties, if they apply.  Payment is your responsibility – we do not pay for anything to be released from shipping carriers or customs to you.

Returns, refunds and replacements

You like getting great body care and we love happy customers, but sometimes things do go wrong. In the instance of a product arriving damaged, defective or missing from your order we ask that you email us at info@messiahandeve.co.uk within 14 days of the package being received with your order number and a photo of the packaging as it was received and either the damaged items or in the case of a missing item, everything that has been received in the order. We can ship you a replacement product or issue you a refund back to your original form of payment.

For any other return requests please email us at info@messiahandeve.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your order with your order number and return reason. Products returned to us must be unopened and unused and will need to be shipped back to us within 14 days of your return request and at your own cost. Please keep proof of your return postage as we are unable to take responsibility for any lost or damaged goods that are returned to us. Approved refunds will be paid back to your original form of payment and less any shipping and/or custom fees.

Please keep in mind that our fragrance strengths vary between products and while they are made to last on your skin this longevity can differ significantly from person to person.  You may find that one product fragrance will last longer than another, particularly when comparing wash off products to leave on skin products.

Order changes and cancellations

We like to process your order as quickly as possible so you can start enjoying your body care without delay. Once your order and payment are confirmed, we prepare it for shipping immediately. This unfortunately means we are unable to make changes or cancel your order once it is placed.

Issues and help

We want you to have the best possible experience and that includes placing and receiving your order with us. However, if you experience any issues with your order (not received, damaged packaging, missing items) or just want some help or have a question on any of our products, then please email us at info@messiahandeve.co.uk with your query or your order number so we can immediately jump on it to get you an answer or make it right.

Online payments

Order payments via our website are secure and we accept Visa and MasterCard Debit and Credit, UK Maestro, AMEX, International Maestro, International Debit and Credit and Diners International.

All prices are in GBP. Payments from international cards will be processed at the daily exchange rate determined by our payment partner. We are not liable or responsible for any international payment fees your card or bank may charge you.

FAQs

When will my order arrive / what are your shipping options?

All orders are dispatched from the UK and will take 2-4 days for UK standard shipping or 1-2 days for UK express shipping. UK next day delivery is available for orders placed before 3pm, after which it will arrive the next working day. Keep an eye on the tracking information we provide to you via email once your order has been shipped. International shipping will take longer and depends on the country. Take a look at our Orders and shipping section for all the details.

Do you have free shipping?

We offer free standard UK mainland shipping when you spend £40 or above. This may reduce during promotional periods or with promotional codes.

International shipping is available to many countries and is either via Royal Mail or DPD.  International packages delivered via DPD will have full tracking information available, however those via Royal Mail international will not offer full tracking to the destination address.  Take a look at our Orders and shipping section for all the details.

I signed up to your newsletter, how do I get my 10% off?

When you sign up to our newsletter, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. Once you have confirmed via email you will receive your discount code for 10% off.  You must enter your discount code at checkout when ordering to redeem the 10% off. Your discount code is available to use once but cannot be used with any other promotional code, discount code or with any other offer.

How can I return a product?

If your order arrives damaged, defective or missing an item email us know as soon as possible at info@messiahandeve.co.uk so we can arrange a replacement or a refund.  Take a look at our Order Returns, refunds and replacements section for more information.

I haven’t received confirmation of my order / how can I get help?

Once payment has been received your order confirmation email will be sent to you. If it is not in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder as sometimes it will go there.

Are all your products vegan?

Yes they are! None of our products (that includes our bespoke fragrances) contain any animal products or any animal derived ingredients. We use the term ‘vegan friendly’ on our packaging so there isn’t any confusion with vegan certification organisations.

Are your products tested on animals?

Never, for two really good reasons. Firstly, we don’t support cosmetic animal testing, it’s not part of who we are or our values.  And secondly (and really importantly) it’s been banned in the UK since 1998 for both finished cosmetic products and cosmetic ingredients and is banned in the EU also. The cosmetics industry is highly regulated, as it should be, and we formulate and test all of our products and fragrances in line with UK and EU regulations and standards.

How long do I have to use the products?

On the back of our packs, you will see a small symbol with a number inside it. This symbol is called the ‘PAO’ or ‘period after opening’ and the number is the months you have to use the product once you have opened it. For all of our products it’s 12 months.

Are your products safe to use in pregnancy or safe for babies?

The quick answer is no. The longer answer is because we haven’t undertaken the specific testing available to determine if the ingredients and fragrances in each product meet a safety standard for pregnancy and separately for babies from birth or babies from six months onwards. As we are a fragrance forward brand, it makes it much harder as there are very few essential oils that are considered safe for use in pregnancy and no definitive regulatory standards for fragrance in pregnancy. Therefore, we need to side with caution and say no.

Where are your products made?

All our products are manufactured in the UK. Our bottles, caps and labels are also all manufactured in the UK. Our pumps are manufactured in Europe and our shipping boxes that deliver your products to you are made in both the UK and in Europe.

Are your products natural?

We don’t call ourselves natural or clean or sustainable or any other popular term. We are however very considered in everything we do. We focus on balance, efficacy and science and don’t demonise ingredients or materials. For us, balance means not putting demand on any one source of ingredients, which is why we produce vegan products and why we mix natural, nature derived, biochemical and synthetic ingredients in both our formulas and fragrances.

The science of cosmetics means synthetics can be derived from natural sources, preferably sustainably sourced ones, not just petrochemicals. Naturals can be both great and not-so-great when formulating and can also have negative environmental impacts. Natural does not necessarily mean better or sustainable. There are many aspects to consider when making products and the impact they have for people and planet.

Is your packaging sustainable?

We take a responsible approach to the design and sourcing of our packaging. We invested in making our own bespoke bottle for our 300ml products so we could guarantee quality, have it made in the UK and achieve a 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) bottle that is recyclable and re-usable. Our 200ml bottles and caps are also 100% PCR, recyclable, re-usable and made in the UK. We are one of the first brands in Europe to use a pump made from 50% PCR – which we are really proud of – and is recyclable. Our labels are made from rocks, a paper that is tree-free, has a clean manufacturing process and are recyclable. And our sample sachets that you complimentary with your orders are recyclable also (which is rare in the beauty industry!) You can read more in Our values section.
